FAQ

What problem does CallTime solve?

CallTime helps with contacts that are only reachable during defined hours: offices, agencies, clinics, institutions, and service desks. It tells you whether to call now, wait, set a reminder, or finish setup.

Does CallTime need access to Contacts?

Yes. CallTime links entries you add to real iOS contacts so names and selected phone numbers stay connected to the source contact. It is not a separate freeform contact manager.

Does CallTime need an account?

No. The iOS app is local-first, with no account, backend, or in-app analytics by default.

What are reachable hours?

Reachable hours are weekly call windows you set for a contact you add. CallTime uses them to decide whether the contact is reachable now and when the next opening begins.

What do reminders do?

If a contact is not reachable, CallTime can schedule one local reminder for the next opening. The goal is to remove the mental note without creating another task system.

Is this a general contact manager?

No. CallTime adds a narrow action layer on top of iOS Contacts. Cloud sync, AI suggestions, contact-note parsing, holiday logic, and complex multi-number workflows are out of scope for the first version.
